Description

This one day interactive course is designed to deliver up-to-date information while also outlining care practices. The course is aimed at nurses who have an interest in the management of a patient with Parkinson’s disease. The programme content includes the process of diagnosis as well as assessment and management of care for a patient who is diagnosed with Parkinson’s.  In addition this course outlines and reviews clinical features, holistic care approaches, medication therapy, assessment, care planning and evalution across all activities of daily living.The course outlines the role of the nurse and the interdisciplinary health care team in assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating care with the patient and his or her carer/family.
