Description
On March 31st, 2025, the Health Act 2007 (Care and Welfare of Residents in Designated Centres for Older People) (Amendment) Regulations 2025 (S.I. No. 1 of 2025) came into effect with amending regulations related to nursing homes in Ireland, including visiting, infection control, residents' rights, and governance, to strengthen current provisions within organisations. In addition, there is an introduction of NIMS within the private sector linkages to patient safety Act 2023 and Notifiable events. In this session over 3 hours we will outline the changes to regulations that affect Residential care centres and identify key action plans needed.
