This course equips nurses and midwives with essential CPR and life-saving skills for both in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. The course covers high-quality CPR techniques, AED use, rescue breathing, and more, ensuring you’re prepared for critical medical emergencies.
Overview for the Course
This course is for nurses and midwives who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.
Outline
• Key Changes in Basic Life Support / Critical Concepts of High-quality CPR
• American Heart Association Chain of Survival
• 1 Rescuer CPR and AED for Adult Child and Infant / 2 Rescuer CPR and AED for Adult Child and Infant
• Differences between Adult, Child and Infant Rescue Techniques
• Bag-mask Techniques for Adult, Child and Infant
• Rescue Breathing for Adult, Child and Infant / Relief of Choking for Adult, Child and Infant.
• CPR with an Advanced Airway.
Requirements
There are currently no prerequisites for this course. Students should be physically well enough to carry out chest compression on a manikin while kneeling. Person should wear comfortable clothes to perform CPR.
