This short online programme is aimed at nurses working in clinical practice who require basic knowledge and skills to care for people with COPD on a day-today basis. The programme will assist participants in gaining an understanding of the clinical evidence underpinning the diagnosis and ongoing care and management of the person with COPD utilising current best practice.
This online educational session will introduce the nurse to:
Epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis and management of COPD
The Global Initiative for the Diagnosis and Management of COPD (GOLD, 2020) will underpin the session providing the nurse with evidence-based material which will enable him/her to provide care to people with COPD which is person-centred based on sound clinical evidence.
