This online training is specifically for Intern Students in Portiuncula University Hospital study week, Catherine O’Connor, INMO’s student and new graduate officer, has organised this session especially for you. The training will be provided by one of our expert facilitator, it will provide safe practice tools to protect you the student nurse and patient within the backdrop of staff shortages and skill mix realignment within current healthcare settings. This is an awareness session to ensure participants have an understanding of the processes involved regarding patient alerts, clinical incidents and thorough assessment, while remaining focused on the patient. It addresses patient and staff safety, and provides five key tools on areas of documentation, clinical incident reporting, safety statements, best practice guidelines regarding assessment and communication practices in the complex multifaceted health care arena. Principles from HIQA Standards will be discussed. Catherine looks forward to meeting you on the day.
