The key learning outcome of this short session will be to support each participant to become aware of their competencies as an employee and to explore how they can increase their ability to take control of their careers in these uncertain times.
The physical and metal strain of working in a Pandemic has left little time for nurses and midwifes to think about their careers. New skills and competencies have been acquired, common sense or tacit knowledge has played a key role in coping. Yet, little value may be put on these skills unless nurses and midwifes recognise and articulate their value.
This session will cover:
- Self-knowledge and self-awareness of your skills and competences.
- Understanding your work environment – its fit for you, its cultures and values.
- Your approach to taking control over the situations and experiences that affect your live.
- Planning and owning your future - where do you go from here?
Note: On completion of this course a certificate of attendance in a digital form and will be sent by email to each participant. Please note places are limited and must be booked in advance; you need a reliable computer and internet access and please ensure a correct email is provided when registering.
