This programme empowers nurses to care for cancer patients by advancing existing knowledge and integrating that knowledge into clinical practice. A combination of theoretical learning and case study presentations will make this course an enjoyable
learning experience. The programme will focus on solid tumours and treatments. It will provide nurses with an opportunity to develop communication skills around cancer discussions with patients. There will be discussion on major tumours and how
these are treated collectively and specifically. Breast cancer, colo-rectal cancer, lung cancer and prostate cancer will be discussed in detail, as well as cancer treatments and treatment side effects.
