This education programme focuses on the eight themes relating to the National Standards for Safer Better Maternity Services, HIQA (2016) in tandem with Ireland’s National Maternity Strategy (Creating a Better Future Together) Department of Health, (2016) and Practice Standards for Midwives, Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (2015). This one day programme will outline the National Standards that support the implementation of the National Maternity Strategy and outline approaches for enhancing safety using a continuous quality improvement approach.
