Description

This programme offers participants an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the palliative care approach. It provides an overview from a holistic point of view and explores a range of relevant topics such as symptom recognition and assessment,
as well as strategies for their management. The topics of loss, grief and bereavement, and end of life care will be explored in detail. The meaning of quality of life in the context of palliative care will be discussed and strategies for supporting individuals to live as actively as possible will be demonstrated. The programme will also provide suggestions for applying the palliative approach in practice when caring for those with life limiting illness.
