Description

This programme explores the key components of compassion and their application in the care setting. Compassion is both valued and expected by patients and their families. The expression of kindness and compassion is one of the values relating to quality of practice as outlined by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics for Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives. This programme will provide participants with an opportunity to develop their own expression of compassion in their professional lives. It will enhance participants’ knowledge on the creation of a culture of compassion in the workplace, as well as in leadership in the delivery of compassionate care.
