Description

This study day focuses on developing nurses’ competency in the assessment and management of patients presenting with impaired renal function. Common causes of acute kidney injury and chronic renal failure are sepsis, diabetes and hpertension which are extremely prevalent in the acute hospital, older person and community patient populations. This study day will both inform and equip nurses to more comprehensively assess and care for patients with renal dysfunction.
