Description

This programme is aimed at nurses and midwives who wish to acquire foundation knowledge on nursing informatics and how it can impact upon their practice. It introduces the topic and explains how the discipline relates to eHealth. Nurses as the information navigators in health and social care are accountable for a significant contribution to health care service provision.  Nurses provide a dual role and practice both independently and as part of the multidisciplinary team. Key areas covered include eHealth, mHealth and integrated care; the role of informatics in nursing; and an overview of how informatics can assist
in the delivery of new models of health care delivery.
