Description

This programme enables nurses and midwives to increase their knowledge, experience and clinical skills to meet the complex and varied needs of patients with sepsis. Sepsis can occur at any age and in any clinical situation. It is considered a medical emergency and continues to have a high mortality rate despite advances in treatment. This course assists nurses and midwives with the skills and knowledge to take the lead in the assessment and management of sepsis. Early identification of sepsis and the implementation of appropriate interventions in a timely manner can improve patient outcomes.
